Whether your synagogue is new to blogging, or you're just looking for an infusion of ideas for how best to use the blog as a membership engagement platform, consider this top-ten list:

10. Holiday ideas – Make the upcoming holiday more meaningful by providing congregants with deeper learning and tips on how to bring the holiday home.

9. Home life – How can we live more Jewishly at home?  What can we bring to the Shabbat table this week to enliven the discussion?

8. School Update – Provide a glimpse into how the religious school is providing the foundation for our children’s Jewish learning.

7. Photos – Share a slideshow of recent events.

6. Education – Our tradition is historically very deep.  Take us somewhere that reflects how the past is relevant to the present.

5. Financial – What is hot in this area?  Does the community need a reminder of what dues are used for?

4. Report – A review of last week’s events.  What did folks miss?

3. Calendar – What are the highlights of the upcoming week’s calendar?

2. Listen – All week, people ask you questions.  What comes to the surface as a key message in response to these?

1. Shul News – Share your insider perspective of your synagogue, as well as updates about current projects and programs.

Happy Blogging, and from all of us at Jvillage, Happy New Year!
